Golf Club of The Year!

It gives us great pleasure to announce that Cookridge Hall Golf Club has been awarded the very highest accolade by achieving the Golf Mark "High Achiever" award. This national scheme identifies and recognises junior and beginner friendly golf facilities. Cookridge Hall is now in a special group with only 8 other golf clubs in Yorkshire to hold this prestigious status.

Welcome

Here at the academy we appreciate that parents and children like to see a clear structure and pathway for the future. Similar to swimming that has a structured progression from infant to gold award badges, we aim to have a pathway that can take the children from beginner to elite amateur and touring professional if they show the hard work and desire. Whatever the child's ambitions our priority is to provide an optimal learning environment, with the core values being fun and making each child's experience a good one each and every time.

Fun and Friendly

Our vision is for each child to associate golf with being fun. Our highly skilled coaches have delivered thousands of hours of junior golf lessons and therefore have a wealth of experience. Our academy offers a warm welcome to all children and parents and we look to keep the junior golfers fit and active throughout all of our sessions. We look to engage each individual and often let the children explore new ways of doing things and also creating new games!

On course teaching

"When are we going to get to play on the course?"… Sound familiar? Too often in junior golf coaching the kid's spend session after session hitting golf balls on the range. Whilst this is important, we play the game ON THE COURSE! For this reason we get ALL junior golfers playing on the golf course as soon as possible. We don t just use golf clubs, we often get the kids throwing Frisbees, javelins and even kicking footballs down the fairway! We are extremely proud of the fact that Cookridge Hall Golf Club is so welcoming to families.

Just wanted to say how much Max loved playing in his first golf comp on Saturday, he was skipping around the course and couldn't contain his excitement. He did really well, we were very proud of him. We then had to go to the driving range after as he wanted to hit more balls
